Well i was trying to fix up my old computer, and it was fuxing up, so i just said f*** it and installed XP pro SP2. It was working fine, but it was stuck in 4-bit video mode, and was really annoying. So i decided 'hey lets get the monitor driver.' We did, but i'm pretty sure i installed the wrong one. Went to reboot, and right after the 'Windows XP' loading screen with the blue scroller thing, it just goes black. No mouse, no nothing. Where it should load the desktop, it's fuxed up. I can get to recovery console with the CD, but i don't know how to reset the drivers. I really don't want to re-install XP again, but if i must, then i will.

So any takers?

Re-install everything? I think that's the only solution.

I told you to use the recovery console narb. Google it for tutorials and sheeeit.

does the computer compleatly shut down? or does the moniter just turn off?

best bet is just to install XP again, next time dont screw around with the driver thingys.

Trust me, 4-bit graphics will fuck with your eyes, and you'll want to do ANYTHING to fix it.
