is it possible for you to make skill increases cost more like stat increases?

stats cost 10 gold x current

skills cost 400 gold x current
forge (the only way to repair your items) gives back like a very small amount of duration, same with enchant for recharging spells. also u have a chance to fail and destroy your items

i pretty much guarantee that if u try to repair your armor/weapon 100 times (which is bout what it would take to get it back to "full" duration you'll break it long before you even get it half way to full duration.

also i am not sure but i think skills progress infinitely as do stats? this would make it a bit more reasonable to repair and recharge items. this would also make a mage playable, because the way it stands now.... a mage would need to be rich to start (to afford spells and a "spellbook" to recharge spells (most of which have 1 duration, which means u have to recharge them before u even use or else they just gone in 1 cast! completely ridiculous when spells cost 50-1k gold most of them for 1 duration (1 round of combat)

Ill try to address these at work.. Its a pain because my laptop is acting up and when I am home I relax/sleep lol..

I know I can adjust the % it costs per level or w/e Ive seen that somewhere.

The mage spells thing confused me because I didnt understand the durations when I set the whole thing up and I am not sure how powerful the spells are and how many durations are needed.

well think of the spells as weapons, except they only go up to power 10 (weapons go up to power 15 base) you can enchant weapons to have MUCH higher powers (i think the best one so far is Lord SmiteHammer (base 15 cost 30k gold, enchant it 3 times 21/27/33 power. so yeah final power 33 weapon)

magic is almost a joke with the power ratings so low. spells should have durations similar to good weapons (150-400)

also alot more powerful spells are needed because u cant enchant them.

well magic is kinda weak atm its all based on 1 stat INT. but you need Ludacris amounts of INT to do any serious damage.

its very hard to get defense, 2 dex = 1 defense yet 1 str is like 2 offense

i havent quite figured out what CON does on here, on most games it gives bonus HP, but doesnt seem to do anything on here.

Wisdom is for Magical Defense

and Charm (rarely) gives a discount when buying.
charm doesnt seem to give a "bonus" when selling items either

with the "skill" usages so low (only 200) this also restricts the ability of mage also. considering how much they have to recharge their spells.

if u go mining, it costs u 1 trade skill usage PER ORE that u sell, alot of which are like 25 gold which u might get 6 gold for when u sell it.

we need an increase in skill use per day, and trades should be like 50-100 more than skill use (so u can buy weapons and armors after you're done mining)
