Shields should be nerfed, it gives noobs the opportunity to run with shield and not get hit, and i know mages will whine the most because its their only def, well its not heck all mages here have pa and should be enough to get you out of harms way. It does not take any skill to run around in shields

i dont know about a mass nerf but shields should be slightly decresed, ive hit 1's with 5k rep and k-axe on ppl using mer shield...
just my 2 cents though.

I dont know about nerfed but making it so that when you crit a mage who is holding a shield it should do lets say -50hp. I mean alot of times you get a mage down to like 28hp and then they shield and pot... well if i crit someone with a shield i should still have a chance to kill

i was only talking about mer shield, i think tower is fine, i mean if they manage to find a pa30+ shield then great for them and yes i understand hitting low on that
but come on 1's through a mer shield...
if you read the mer shields original description its "Complete Absorption of Magic and Physical attacks when special ability is turned on, normal tower shield abilities when not." so how is that normal tower def when no turned on =.=
agreed because its 600 pts add a little extra def to it, making it slightly better then tower, but its def is way overpowered right now

You shouldnt be able to hit 2000 dmg through PFM anyway... thats like a one hit KO. But Ive been hit for like 1.2k+ through PFM... And its not like you see any wars walkin around doing 2k dmg with a single hit. So how does that seem fair?

All i was saying is mer shield completely cuts dmg to -1, Ive never hit through a mer shield for more then that. And thats just not fair. PFM doesnt do that, neither does MS.

Players pay more than one gold to get a Merien Shield. Also, I refuse to believe that you hit -1 on mages who have no PA sets cause people hit me more than -1 often with a bad ass PA set. And even if you do hit -1 on a VERY good PA set, that's what mages have paid for. Warriors haven't paid nowhere near as much for a Kloness Axe. Warriors can make themselves untouchable against mages if they want but they just forget that while complaining about mages.

Come on, don't lie now. Every fourth hit on me with PA140-150 set and Merien Shield hits 400+.

Well first off 74, i use a glad sword, No Kaxe for me, I hate them, i think they are gey. So I dont hit massively hard on anyone to begin with. But i swear to god, Any mage thats popped on a Mer shield, I havent hit more then -1 for after about 10-15 crits, so I just give up and move onto the next person cause I dont have time for that. As for if they had PA sets or not I have no Idea.

Im not saying mer shield needs to be completely nerfed to the point of uselessness Im just saying that it needs to be lowered slightly or the dmg needs to be switched from -1 to somethin slightly higher like -20.

i could hit thr merien shield but with 1/20 crits , fought some mages before when they use shield maybe its my dex or str but still when ever they bring up merien shield i gave up totally. and yea im using kaxe with 5k rep.

Amp gives u 100% magic protection and its 200 INT only, the pfm warriors can get MA/HP/MR set.... for example i hit 90's dmg against Zorrito MA set.
You players want everything too easy... i play as mage and i know how hard is try to cast against warriors with 10000 criticals, BOWS , poising arrows , medusa swords and all shits to rape mages , and mages have to defend them self : merien shield and PA set ONLY.
And all mages u hit 1 dmg only its not only because of merien shield/shield , its cuz of the PA set he(mages) hunted for.... u can get like weeks to get a decent PA set.
Shields alone doesnt protect NOTHING... u will have to waste weeks to get a PA set while warriors with 1 gold buy a spell called AMP.

No, some mage using sheild more than it should be using. They wear sheild and wait until war pfm gone and keep running away away away until that time. This is really anoyting.

lol Highness, my point here is to address that pa on a mage is good enough, as to shield and endless running till pfm or amp gone. There are others that need to learn to cancel.
If mages are having troubles defeating a warrior then thats their problem, invest on a good pa, and by telling me that it hits 800 through 150 pa is just plain scapegoat of having a bad fps or aim.

If a mage cant play without shield then thats just lame. And i know that there will be this huge debate that if mages stand around = death and no cast, run around its not always that warrior would land hits all the time.

If a war gets jumped without pfm and is just standing around they will die in one hit too. Its happened to me plenty of times. So its the same for if a mage is just standing around and a war just jumps him and doesnt get a chance to cast. If a mage jumps a war there is nothing a war can do to stop it. With mass blizz + zerk wand, forget it your dead. Its not like you can stop right there and start casting PFM, like a mage can just pop on a shield. But like i said i dont think shields should be completely nerfed, just lowered a bit to level the playing field. You cant deny that this is a mage dominated server cause its the Easiest way to get EKs. Id be a mage if my FPS wasnt so fucking low all the time. I got a crappy rig.


Oh and im still only talking about mer shields btw.
