I don't know if anybody else has had this problem, but for about the past two months, Runescape has not worked for me. I can't even load the main login screen, and the forums have been no help whatsoever. So I suppose asking here couldn't hurt.
Anyways, to the real problem.
My java won't load at all. I click the member login button and that big orange java box comes up in the corner then my browser freezes. =(
I really worked hard on my character, and I don't really wanna give him away.

What I have tried so far:
-Restart my computer
-Re-installed Java about 1,000 times
-Ran virus scans with every program imaginable
-Try every browser out there
-Set the java settings to force sun java
-Delete my cookies
And that's about it.

What my computer has:
-Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 (I know it sucks, I get enough shit from my friends)
-AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor
-Nvidia Geforce 6150SE Graphics card
-500 GB Hard drive
-3 GB DDR2 Dual Channel Memory
(Got that all from a sticker on the side of my computer, I have no idea what all that means)

Try uninstalling Java.
Reinstalling Java.
Changing the Java settings for RS. (On detail select it should let you choose) Unsigned Java Applet might work.

have you tried playing it off of like rsbot or somthing?

this is how you fix it.



1.) bring your tower outside.
2.) find the nearest axe
3.) open your cumputer up
4.) pull out your hard drive
5.) smash the hell outta it
6.) go to curcut city
7.) buy a new computer


if that doesn't work, try restoring your computer

mhm restoring should work, was having the same problem with mine and i just looked up some instructions on google on system restort...something like ctrl+f11 on startup or something...It worked great for me!

Alright, thanks guys but I think I'm done. I'm probably gonna sell my account. Canceled the membership yesterday. I've been playing WoW for a while now so I'm gonna switch over to that.
Even though it makes me feel dead inside...
