Over the past year, we've been keeping a rather large secret. We have been working on a complete graphical rework of RuneScape, which is looking truly spectacular. There's no need to take our word for it: look at the images below and see for yourself.

As you know, we currently offer 'High Detail' and 'Low Detail' modes. We plan on adding a new and optional detail mode, bringing you accelerated higher quality graphics. This will be in addition to the existing detail modes, as they will remain unchanged.

As if the improvements below weren't enough, an optional fullscreen version of RuneScape is due at the same time. This will let you play at a resolution of your choice, and it also supports widescreen monitors. We think you'll agree, the future of RuneScape is looking very good indeed....

you know what the funny thing is......

on the forums before they said they do not have a runescape 3 in progress nor are they gonna make one lol.

now they made annoucement and took off that thread from their forums.

also the graphics and stuff are not that good... especially for such a big and massive company like jagex.

jagex can do a 10x better job with the graphics than this.


p.s. at first when i read it i thought trik was making it and i was like wtf? you gonna get sued by jagex lol but than i read all and went to runescape.com and read it for myself.

Stfu noob, this is important lol. If you don't like it then whatever, Other people enjoy this game, and they have a right to know. This kind of update has been anticipated for as long as I can remember. I'm just posting this for those who are really into the game, A big graphical change is coming, So there. And tbh, The new graphic look exactly the same, only wiht some shading and smoother 3-d characteristics. What would be amazing is them making World of Warcraft graphics for the game, Even though that probably wouldn't happen unless they sold RuneScape in a CD.

Well, new graphics improvements were getting kind of needed i suppose. I mean compared to WoW, RS's graphics are shit.

But honestly, trying to stop phishing like that is soooo unbelievably stupid. They underestimate the time people have to work on phishers to make them extremely presentable and believable.

ways for runescape to make more money than they do now

1) CD(maybe like $10-30 so its not too expensive and can compete with WoW)
2) prepaid membership cards sold at stores and gas stations
3) banning more accounts for gay reasons
4) actually look at those big suggestion topics in their forums
