Default Microsoft Wants to Buy Yahoo for $44.6 Billion - 02-01-2008, 08:16 AM

It seems that Bill is going to eat more than one burger before he leaves Microsoft. After countless rumors, it is now official: they want to buy Yahoo for $31 per share, for a total of $44.6 billion in cash and stock. Check The Other Steve's love letter to the Yahoo board of directors after the jump and take our poll: what do you think about the idea of a MS Yahoo roaming the Intarwebs?

yea thats a lot of money but its only $31 a share idk how much there worth but some shares are worth hundreds even thousands so they could be selling it really cheap. just cause its a big number doesn't mean it wasn't cheap..

yep, I'm the famous 1-DUB... I do have one eye. If you ever have problems AND your a nice guy hit me up on MSN ( FCHSsr11@hotmail.com) I will most likely go out of my way to help you with what ever i can.. If your not a nice guy then try not to ask for help unless you really need it. then i will still probably help you.

It would make yahoo messenger worth getting. Yahoo search would be merged with live, and Yahoo mail servers would be converted to hotmail... I don't use yahoo so I don't personally care. Nice buy though, lol.

microsoft thinks it can make a dent into google. It cannot. As said on G4, its like a nerd on the school ground getting another nerd to defend against bullies. it just doesnt work.
