This is my first guide I have officially created and written all by myself on how to make quick cash and learning the tricks of the merchanting business.

If you don't know what the term "Merchanting" means, it's somebody who buys items for a lower price and sells it for a higher price or better deals. Keep in mind that merchanting takes time and patience in order to get a good deal or even longer to get a superb deal. In section 3, I will move into merchanting more thoroughly.

There are a few ways I have noticed in my experience of playing Runescape on strange ways of making quick money.

The first way is filling up vials with water and stocking them in bulks. Water filled vials cost 100gp - 250gp ea. That is an incredible amount of money for just filling up vials with water and storing them in a bank close by.

You can obtain vials from herblore stores, players or monsters. I strongly recommend one of my favorite places to buy vials from is at the Taverly herblore store. Once you have bought your vials, you can easily run to Falador west bank and store them (Shown in red). If you have level 5 Agility (Shown in green), you can use the "Crumbling Wall" shortcut to avoid running through the south entrance of Falador. Once you have stocked up on as many vials as you want, it's now time to fill her up with water. There is a water pump directly infront of the Falador west bank (Shown in blue).

NOTE: Once you have stocked up on as many water filled vials as you can, it's now time to head over to the Runescape Forum. Create a thread in the "Herblore" section of the forum titled "Selling Water-Filled vials!".

Do not sell the vials for under 200gp ea, try to go for the maximum price first which is 250gp ea. If you get lucky someone might offer more than the maximum price.


The second way is stocking up on eye of newts. Eye of newts are popular for Herblore also, but just as vials, they don't stack in your inventory. They sell at 150gp - 200gp ea, which is again, a lot of money for newts that only cost 3gp ea.

You can obtain eye of newts from Jatix Herblore Shop, Betty's Magic Emporium, Frincos Fabulous Herb Store and Snop Grud's Herblore Stall. There are a lot of stores to buy newts from but I recommend Betty's Magic Emporium in Port Sarim since it's quick and also for non-members (Shown in red). If you are a member, you can buy them from the Herblore store in Taverly once again. Here is a picture of the route you will use from Falador east bank to Port Sarim vice versa.
