Like kikoo I also have problems with the angel sparkle effect. My fps gets cut in half whenever an angel or any shiny effect comes into my screen. However it appears that merely removing the sparkle effect pak doesn't do anything.

kinger or any coders have a reply? =O

Yeah, it's the same with rain, weapons that make someone shine (like xel), or that sparkly crap in druncian city map. It's annoying

Can you umm give me specific instructions? I am a computer hardware newbie :\ I'd blame it on being female but I hate to be sexist.

edit: I think I have a pretty good comp and I should get more fps than I do. I get 60 max with an angel/gilttery thing on screen (or medium to high detail) and I get 100-120 on low detail with no glitter. That's pretty awful.

Please tell me anything I can do to raise fps (at least when the glitter shit is around)

thanks

GS graphic card is not really good, get GT, GTX or GTS, besides it's an integrated graphic card that shares it resource with the RAM, when most of your ram is in use, it will be slower. Kingor can you post a download link for good sprites that make fps quicker?

Many thanks,
Darren

kikoo got e same graphic card as mine , its a kinda new GPU tho , maybe u could sent a ss of ur GPU settings. and yes , ur com is good. not too sure y u got so low fps ..
another thing .. have u Disable Onboard Graphics ?
and did u previous install any graphics card ? ( u need to totally uninstall everything of ur previous drive , get a driver cleaner to do it )
Have u got e latest drive for your card ?
And i heard lots of negative remarks on vista , im not too sure about it .

On my old comp the comp wasn't as good and neither was the graphics card (it was GS 6200 or something) but I got 200 fps. HB doesn't require a great gpx card to be able to run fast does it?

Hi Enter. Thanks for your help. I don't know what GPU is lol so I googled it and found "NVIDIA's NTune" program where I can apparetnly set my own GPU and "overclock" it. Can you tell me what the best setting would be? Thanks

As for Vista, I really like it. I guess it depends on everyone's prefrence but it's given me no trouble.

GPU = graphic processing unit . And yea , Hb doesnt really need a great gfx card to do high fps .. its depends on your com tho.

if you wanna overclock ur gpu ( which i dont really think u need to do that ) , Get a good cooler / fan for your gpu . they need a cooling system ..

Go to your task bar and look for nVidia setting which should be located at the right side of task bar , right click and go to nVidia Control Panel. Go to Manage 3D setting ( Advance Settings ) .

last 2 setting
Triple Buffering - Off
Vertical Sync - Force off

that's my setting tho .. u can check up web to look which is best for you.

On Board Graphic card Dont have such option for sure . And yes there are some mother board which dont have graphic card build . for those kind of motherboard which have graphic build in , u cant see the card itself cos it build in the Board itself.

ok now u have ur graphic build in ur board , dont worry about it . get a graphic card and install in ur board . once u done it and install your driver . reboot ur comp and go to BIOS , under an option call Onboard Chipset ( most BIOS have e similar option ) , Disable OnBoard Graphic and save the settings.

Most card u bought from outside should have V-sync . im not too sure about those low end card but most medium to high range have that option.

hope this helps.

im not really sure which country u in so im not sure about e price range.

first look up what's ur motherboard support , AGP , PCI or PCIE ( pci and pci use same slots.)

if your board is AGP slot , maybe try to get ATI x1950PRO, Or a nVidia 7900GS.

if your board is PCI slot , try get 6600 GT or 6800 ultra .

price im not too sure , go check it store near you .

my 2 cents :P
