Ok so I've been trying to upload a video to YouTube for the past two days and nothing has been working. It's pissing me off.

I used Sony Vegas 7.0 to edit my video. Then I rendered it as a .wmv because that is what has worked for me in the past.
I try to upload my video and it's stuck at the upload screen for more than two hours so I exit out.
Then I try rendering the video as a .avi file. Same thing happens.
I tried .mov too and the same thing happened again.
So I start trying everything cause I'm desperate for something to work. Then I get it to upload but it says upload failed because of incorrect file type.

So I have no idea what to do next.

Could it have something to do with my computer being a Gateway?
Since the last computer I had was a HP and I uploaded a video just fine.

If somebody could please help me that would be fantastic.
I'm trying to upload it before Wednesday because I'm entering it in a contest.

Youtube was shitting out today a lot, its not anymore.


I highly doubt its your computer, It is probably internet settings, or maybe even youtubes, fault.

I'd say wait until tomorrow..

It wasn't just today, it started a day or two ago. I'll try tomorrow though.

So it should work if I try to upload using .wmv?

enemy, if your using firefox, or your on a vista laptop, chances are it wont work.

use your desktop computer, and use internet explorer.

almost guarenteed to work.

.wmv is the file you need to use, try that, It always works for me, You also need to do something else I can tell you what to do but I'll explain tomorrow.

I can't offer any good advice to tell the truth, but while your looking for a solution try uploading it at the same time. Youtube never works properly for me either, so I just let it sit in a separate tab while doing something else. It wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, I tried that. Let it sit on the upload screen for more than 4 hours. Nothing happened.

Oh shit I used to press (Upload now) before the new interface for YouTube came out, that's how it worked for me, other then that it never worked for me either :S So maybe its the video size? try reducing it and putting it as .WMV, If not then just try to upload it to google or something :S

Oh well doesn't matter that much.
