(Forum Game) Life of Thunder. -
01-21-2008, 11:50 AM
OK, heres how it works:
I write a paragraph or two, writing out his day.
Then I come up with what should be his next action?
As in;
Thunder was getting a drink from the water fountain, when a girl he
likes waits behind him.
What should he do?
a) Ask her out
b) Hit on her
c) Give her a turn
d) Be polite
e) Walk away
And you guys vote, and you'll see what happens.
Thunder woke up, drowsy as usual, checked his E-mail and his phone
No new E-mails besides a few advertisements, some spam.
Noone had called him that night, that's weird. People usually
called during the night to see if he wanted to go have some
fun at a club or something. Oh well, getting dressed was a hassle
that morning because he couldn't find any of his jeans or white tee shirts.
Putting on his sponsors hat, and his vans, he walked down stairs to make
some eggs for him and his brother. They lived alone, their parents
died when his brother was 19 and when Thunder was 11.
Well, I'm 15 now, I'm sponsored in BMX racing and Freestyle BMX.
With the eggs nearly done, his brother Subhi came down and
made some orange juice for both of them. "Hey dude, how was
the comp yesterday?" Subhi asked "It was OK, I bailed which got
me second. The judges still gave me an 9, 9, 10. It was an awesome
run, I did a 360 Double tail-whip." I responded. "That's cool,"
After eating and telling his brother he had to practice for another
comp Thunder went out to the garage, and got his Freestyle bike out
and took his pegs off. Kids would steal them if he let them on.
Thunder thought, should he take the long route with the awesome
gaps? He had time to get to school, or should he take the short route
with a few stairs that he can jump down?
Thinking the long route could help Thunder get ready for the day, he
started to ride off to the right. Coming up to the park, and getting
ready for the first gap is kind of tricky. It's a wheelchair spot for
someone to get up to the swing set who had a stroller or wheelchair. Tensing and gripping the bars to get ready to Jump
off the wheel chair ramp to hit the wall on the swing set.
Wheels in the air, feeling invincible for that split second in the air
is one of the best feelings in your life, the wind whipping aginest
your face. BAM, back wheel hit the wall turning quickly but not too
quickly to fall off my bike and get a concussion. Perfect landing
and perfect timing. Riding off and looking back to see a group
of moms and their 4-6 year old children staring in awe to how
I just used a child's playground. Riding to get to the next gap is quite a while, takes 7 minutes
to get to the next gap. But this one is fun, a 15 stair set.
Coming up and getting ready, this gap is hard but fun.
Pumping my legs my feet and pedals were now a blur.
Tensing up and pulling up my front wheel first, and then pulling
up my back wheel and in the air. It's incredible, it's some
of the most air I've ever had. Coming down for the landing,
tensing really hard, getting ready for impact.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Impact. Hitting harder than I thought, nearly flipping over my
handle bars. Steadying again after a hard impact is one of the
hardest things to do after jumping a huge stair set.
Coming up to a mini skate park, I ride through it going on a few
quarter-pipes and I spend about 3 minutes on the mini-halfpipe
Then looking at my watch once I was done on the halfpipe.
"Oh great, I have 4 minutes to get to school." I blurted out like
an idiot. I guess I should just skip the rest of the gaps and speed
over to school.
What should Thunder do?
a) Speed through
b) Just do the gaps, I can get there late. Who cares?

Surprisingly, this was on a video about escalators.
