actually the grey sprites/ grid were together in the same folder, so they both are apparently put together. If i could remove the grid I would. and I dont care about color anyway because when there is alot of people online I put the game to the lowest detail setting anyway so my comp doesnt have to render every body elses colors. (You cant tell me that doesnt have an effect on FPS because it obviously does, because the comp no longer has to render many different colors from all players, just one color) I still like grey world anyway, whether it actually does anything for me or not. Ive looked at the normal world for so long, this is a change of pace for me

Well duh that helps. That's where the confusion comes in. People turn off detail and see that it runs faster due to lack of colors and glow. What they don't know is how the client renders those colors.

The tiles are displayed as a single sprite unedited and untouched. It just DISPLAYS it end of story.

Armors, capes, boots, etc. Things colored.. The client displays the sprite, then goes back over it changing EVERY PIXEL to that color one by one. That's where the lag comes from. It doesn't use filtering in the client meaning it has to do it manually causing the lag.

There is no rule where someone is not allowed to be on a public forum. That's like you not being allowed on a beach if you don't swim, or you not being allowed at a club if you don't drink. There isn't one set thing to do at one place. This forum isn't all about playing the server. There is posting, reading, communicating as well which is why I'm here. FPS has been a long debated issue, and it seems that players (or the average Helbreath noob) doesn't listen to the people that actually write the code for the servers/clients that they use, or for people who can understand the code. What Zero is saying is perfectly correct. I wish I could find the big article I wrote about FPS and post it here for everyone. I'll go looking ^_^
