[Simple]

I've noticed around pp that a few anims have the slicing in half in their anims, but some of them just look unrealistic, Not to sound cocky, but here I'll show how I do effective cutting...

There are three parts to this tutorial. The first is how most people do it, Second, the sticks required to make it look better, and finally, how to do it...

OK, without further adue, here it begins...

PART ONE: HOW MOST PEOPLE DO IT
EXAMPLE
Our victim in this tutorial is the pivot 3 default, which I have remade so its compatable for piv 2...
Note how in this example, the victim is cut in two strait halves, this is only good if the victim is standing strait and facing the viewer when the cutting factor took place....
This looks unrealistic, and only happens once every 20 times a person is cut (prediction).


PART TWO: THE REQUIRED STICKS FOR THE COMPLETE EFFECT

these sticks are easy to make, all you need to do is:
First-Edit your victim so he/she has only one arm and leg on the same side, add it to animation then....
Second-Edit the half man, as we'll call it, so he has no limbs at all, this will be the innards...
Now you have your sticks, its time to move on to:

PART THREE: THE ANIMATION
Set your victim in the desired position. Then place the factor causing the cut, when this is done, have your victim wobble for a bit, for a more dramatic effect, then add two of the half men, flip one so it is facing the other way, using the joint dots, place both sides so there in the same position as your victim when he began falling apart. Next, add the limbless one, place it so its inbetween the two halfs, Dont forget to colour it red!
make the victim start falling, look at one of the easing and spacing tutorials to make them fall, dont forget to make your guts stick fall in sync with the further half...
