sometimes when i fight vs mages with very nice set like Deadly i use esw with ress wand because with cotg i get 1 hit of 200-,

That's pretty weird cause that's what Mass Blizzard does. Besides, I have been killed in one single indirect COTG with full hp with 700 mag. So, it's not useless. :P
