I recently bought a new laptop, and when I hold down alt plus print screen or "prt sc" it wont copy the screen. (Like when you put it into paint to edit it.)

Ctrl + Sysrq works, atleast it should, if that doesnt work, check your keyboard settings, maybe its set up differently.
