I've really no idea what I was doing on one. This was my first time trying to capture a dark effect. I'd really like advice with this one!

It's way too simple.

All i can see is a render slightly blended into a gradient. Try to make your backgrounds more interesting by using different filters and brushes. Even the improper use of a c4d makes for a better bg than a gradient.

I can't give any other type of CnC, considering this is way too simple of a sig.

It's not a gradient. Lighting effects, red north blue south. Also did some stuff to the render. Heres the render. Sure you've got no advice?

That's my advice. If you need brushes go to deviant art, go to Planet renders for c4d's. I just said that i can't fully analyze and give you constructive criticism until you've added a bit more to your work.
